Impromptu afternoon in Tahoe

After ministry and lunch Aaron and I decided to drive to Tahoe.  The weather was perfect and if our motorcycle was home we would have been on a bike ride, but she still has another week in the shop.

We stopped at Echo Lake. It was stunning and lots of people where hiking, riding horses or out in their little motor boats as this would be the only way to access their cabins on the lake. We saw them stocking up their boats with grocers.

The water at Echo Lake was clear. The sun warm and the breeze cool. Would have loved to take out a boat, find a cove and picnic.

Then we arrived at Tahoe. Drove to Camp Richardson and went to the Beacon Bar and Grill for dinner. Aaron had always wanted to eat there. It was right on the beach. The food was good and the view of the lake was stunning.

We walked the beach, watch the boats, listened to live music and felt totally at peace. We are so lucky to have all this on our door step.

Perfect day.

Beals Anniversay

Another friend another anniversary.  This theme was easy both Jeff and Sarah both like beer.  So we themed it "A blind beer tasting night" and did pub style food. Fish and Chips, Jalapeneo poppers, stuffed mushrooms and lots of other yummy things.  Our colours were yellow and grey. I hand sewed all the fabric flag banners. Very proud they held together all night. Here are the pics .

We hosted it at Dereks home. Derek is a great cook and made a real effort to do British style fish and chips.  It was amazing.

They guys doing their blind tasting all deep in thought.  Jeff won and Aaron came last even behind the girls LOL.
