Poor Shermandy Wermandy

Our boxer Sherman has been poorly.. He has had a mushroom looking growth, growing out of his ear. It was pretty big and looked infected. Aaron and his dad Jerry wanted to perform surgery on Sherman themselves..Sigh.. I had to ever so politely remind them that unless they had a certificate that proved they went to veterinary school and could handle this they had better let a PROFESSIONAL deal with it..

I took Sherman to the vet today and they decided to keep him in then and there and do the surgery to remove the growth. The vet thinks that the growth might be a big pollop.. It looked like a mushroom from the top it was literally like some one had stuck a mushroom in his ear like an ear plug. He thinks it may be caused due to extreme irritation. As one was growing in the other ear too.. He cauterized them and flushed the ears out. Sherman was all drugged up when we collected him. Wobbly on his feet and didn't really know where he was hence we couldnt leave him alone.. He was fine today tho his usual self.. At the moment im cooking them meals. As his irritation is caused by food allergies so I cooked a batch of chicken and rice. Will add some black beans to it later to bulk it out. It really made me realize how much I love him and of course Tootise. lol
We wont find out if it was just a pollop or a cancerous growth till tomorrow as it went to pathology. . We caught Sherman trying to get in to Tootsies bed.. and he managed it.

I never thought i could love animals they way I love Sherman and Tootsie. My heart broke for him today seeing him all dazed and confused.. I wanted to be home with him..

I have a confession people.. My Name is Emily and I love my Dogs.. lol

First Anniversary - 2009

Its been a year already. How fast time goes by, it seems like it was only yesterday i was getting ready to leave the uk and follow my heart. Its been a wonderful year, i can honestly say the best yet. Full of highs and the occasional lows.
Ive had family and friends visit, met new family and made some amazing new friends but Nothing tops being with Aaron everyday, having that one person that will always be there and has promised to always be yours. My best friend.. He makes me smile and laugh everyday.. He gives me the things i have always needed, to feel loved.. to feel kindness... to trust enough to be vulnerable. Aaron is so affectionate that i never doubt his love for me. I feel secure. Im very fortunate that i have him and i thank Jehovah for bringing us together..

We started our day by having breakfast together.. After Aaron left i waited for the cake to be delivered. This is a chocolate buttermilk cake made by Sarah Beal who is a awesome cook and baker.. I designed it and she made it. She is the best, best mate you could ask for. It tasted devine Aaron said its the best choc cake he has ever tasted. She put her home made strawberry jam in the middle with choc frosting as per my request as the jam is so good. This cake was so so so DEVINE!!! Sarah also sent flowers from her garden too.. They were busting with colour.

Then i jumped in the truck and headed to the store to get the rest of the picnic treats sorted out, (turns out i made way to much food).
Aaron come home and lunch takes the truck and disapears. He comes home with the most amazing bunch of flowers. See below

I get the picnic together drive 25mins to set it up and then come back and collect him..
For our anniversary i prepared a picnic by the river. We spent the evening swimming, cuddling and eating... lol.. a very chilled and intimate picnic. A first for both of us..

Happy Anniversary Honey X

I Passed My Driving Test

So I took my driving test this morning at 10.30am. Claudia came with me and we drove around the "course", officially your not supposed to know the route they take you on but the instructors tell you and it gets passed around. I didnt take any official lessons i just drove when we were out and about.

To be honest the test is really easy, esp as its in a automatic. Even if it was Manuel the route is so simple.. Im just glad i can drive and get around now.. im happy

Here is a picture of our truck that ive been driving and took the test in,.. This isnt our truck but its exactly the same, except ours is dark grey.

Our First Dance

We attended a wedding on Saturday and the song "At last" by Etta James came on and Aaron took me by the hand and we danced it was our first dance as a married couple.. I was so happy...
Happy sigh......

Treasure Hunt at the Cabin

This was my first Treasure Hunt with the family. The family consists of Dinsdales and Perrys. The Cabin is Grandma & Grandpa Perry's (Granpa Perry passed away a few years ago) Its a very special place for all the family. They grew up taking holidays there and have fond memories OF Grandpa there. Grandma and Granpa bulit the cabin. When the children came into the truth and no longer celebrated Christmass and birthdays they came up with the Treasure hunt idea so that th the family could give gifts and include the Grandparents. Happily Grandma & Grandpa Perry both came into the truth getting baptised in their 70s. Treasure Hunt still continues..hee he

MY FIRST TREASURE HUNT

Cabin 2 were we all stayed except for the treasure hunt organizers, Brem her husband Isaac, Myra and her husband Jeff. They did an amazing job. It was very professional. The clues took us all around the cabin and the surrounding area were they used to play as children.

Breakfast at the cabin is a family affair. Myra did the beautiful table arrangement.

Isaac and his Tadcaster Beer, its from England, N yorks. Never heard of it but they like their beer.

Isaac and Brem made this version of Monopoly. They themed it for the family. Its very cool..

Card games are a must at the cabin and very fun this is a competive game of solitaire!!

We all had to wear these huge glasses.. this is the result..

We all had Treasure chest on our beds with chocolate money in .. Nice touch guys.

Reading the scripture clues which took you to your next location. Brem and Issac.

At the end of your trial you would find a hat, which you had to wear on each hat was a number or letter. It turned out that all the hats together was one last clue..!! arnt they clever!

Friends.. coming to the uk with us!!

CODY & KRISTY MOLLET

These are two very good friends of ours, Cody and Kristy. The plan is that they are coming to the UK with us. I am very excited to have you meet some some of the friends i have made here.
Let me tell you a little about them.

Kristy was one of the first friends i made when i came here. I first met them as a couple when i was staying at Scott and Wendys home while i was still courting Aaron. They were coming over for dinner and in walked Cody with the longest, hugest crabs legs ive seen.
Kristy on first impression was quiet, and she is i guess compared to her husband who loves to do english accents which are all based on Austin Powers lol, however, they are a perfect compliment
. Cody, funny, loud and the center of things, wereas Kristy is more tempered, very feminine, funny and my dance buddy, she loves to party as much as i do. Kristy along with another sister in the cong, assisted me in getting my wedding dress, threw me a wedding shower and along with her husband and another couple put the wedding reception together. From the get go Cody and Kristy have been true friends, loyal, there when you need them and generous to a fault.

Cody was raised in the truth since the age of 3 mainly by his mom which was just learning the truth herself in the Georgetown Congregation. Cody's grandma was the original person in their family to start learning about Jehovah, and Cody's dad never did much with it until his later years. March 2009 Cody's dad got baptized. It was such an emotional event since it was long awaited. Cody grew up in the sticks, he's a country boy, growing up he was known for his Michael Jackson dancing, and his weight lifting. Cody loves to snow board, ride his dirt bike and his big passion is golf. Cody works for Trees Inc, he goes around with a team and makes sure that the land around the electric poles is clear, its very physical work often removing and weeding eating large areas.

Kristi also was raised spiritually by her mother, and was in the same congregation as Cody. Her father was very involved in their native Indian American culture and soon he stopped studying the bible and focused on his heritage. Growing up Kristi used to dance at Indian pow wow's in competitions. Growing up Kristi moved and found out she liked to meet new young people, loved to sing, dance, and do stuff with big groups like go up to the snow, to the fair, and parties. In 1998 Cody and Kristi both got baptized on the same day. Kristi's parents didnt want them dating until Kristi turned 18, so they were forbidden to see or talk to each other, during that time Kristi Pioneered. They always knew they were going to marry each other from a young age. Kristi now works in a bank dealing with loans and mortgages and is very good at her job. Kristi is creative and loves to scrapbook she is really good at it, and Of course she loves to dance. Im hoping for some parties wood green style while im back to show them how we party in the UK..
