The Aaron Apprecation Project

Aaron's last gift was a group effort. I got the inspiration off of a blog i follow called The Dating Divas. (Go check them out lots of date night ideas). I wanted Aaron to FEEL how much I love him. But not just me, to know and feel that he  really is loved and valued by all his friends and family.

We dont often get the chance to let someone know just how much we love them.  I contacted his family and a core of friends that he had grown up with.  Everyone was on board. Letters and emails came flying in. I had to hide them and stash them away until the big reveal. Aaron has no idea this was going on.

Remember gift 2 brought him close to tears. Well this accomplished the task. I left him alone on a rock for a few minutes while he read the letters.  He was very overwhelmed with emotion and the letters made a huge impact on him.  Thank you everyone for your help. This gift would not have been possible without you.

It has the desired effect. He felt loved, he laughed, cried and smiled as he read them.

Here are the pictures.

Weekend Anniversary The Coast

We decided we wanted to go to the coast. We took the long route and drove for hours over hills, through vineyards, stopping at small towns for refreshments and to walk around.  We tasted truffle chocolates. Ate chips with curry sauce English style. Had clam chowder and crab on the beach and sat and cuddled while the sun sank over the ocean. It was perfect. Here are our pictures.

Surprise Anniversary Party

It was strange I had had not heard from any of my friends yet. I at least get a text, Sarah makes me a cake. but nothing. I was a little dejected to say the least.

Cody has been acting weird when he was bead boarding our bathroom and rushed off saying he had plans that evening. Hmmmmmm!

Then we got a  sudden invite for food and drinks by the Schoolers. No need to bring anything she said just your selves.Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!

We drove to our friends home, all the while I was saying to Aaron. Somethings up, our friends have been ignoring us, no one has even acknowledged our anniversary.  Sniffle, sniffle.

As we turned in to their rd there as a sign. HAPPY 4th Anniversary. I gasped "I told you, look" as I excitedly pointed to the sign.

We turned into the their drive way but all was quiet Hmmmmmm! maybe I was wrong :(

We where hurried to the middle of their orchard and that's when we saw the gathering. A beautiful table with friends and lots of food. It was amazing. Ill let the pictures speak for themselves. Click on images for larger viewing.

I loved the theme, travel it was super cute and the colors were perfect.

The food was so good Aaron ate meat for the first time in 8 months. I documented it. HA

We spent the rest of the evening in the pool the temperature was perfect and had so much fun. Music and jumping off the diving board.

We had the best time. Thank you guys.

Anniversary Weekend Home improvements

I asked Aaron that for my Anniversary he and  a very good friend bead board part of the bathroom. My other request was that we save up and go to Ikea and get some things for our home. He said yes.. Woo hoo

One of the purchases we made at Ikea were bedding which was dearly needed.  We have been sleeping like babies.

Thanks to my wonderful husband who agreed to work in our bathroom on our anniversary weekend with our awesome friend Cody.  I have some painting and new blinds to put up, but so far I LOVE it.

The boys worked really hard.  A HUGE thank you to CODY.... He works hard and fast and his skills with mitering are fantastic.  Thank you, thank you thank you.

Annversary Weekend

This weekend is our 4th Anniversary. We have a bunch of stuff planned to so. Gifts, home improvements, dinner and a trip to the coast.

So far I have given Aaron one of his gifts. ( he has 2 more coming)

And he has brought me flowers. So pretty!

I also went to the salon with a friend and got a mani pedi.

I had coral nails with gold glitter, and my ring fingers where just gold glitter. My toes are green/blue with gold glitter.

My Second gift for Aaron was one that I had made myself. It was inspired off a blog called The Dating Divas and stored it on pintrest,

It is called 52 reasons why i love you, made from a deck of cards and bound with book rings.  I distressed each card with sandpaper. (Cards brought from Walmart.)  Brought a hole punch and downloaded a template for the 52 reasons. I used my own font on word and printed them out. I then used packing tape to cover the paper i stuck on the cards to give it a finished look.  Aaron got very emotional and said he was very close to tears. He said it was the most thoughtful gift he had ever received. Wait to gift 3 I told him.

Since there was so much to know Sarah brought a guide and I nominated her our tour guide.

Hot day = tired people

The cool thing is these trees are so huge that you can walk through them once they have fallen.

Alot of the trees had lightening damage

This is on our way home we stop several times to refresh and have a beverage. I think we just dont want to say good bye and end our time with friends.

Toot is all pooped out she has had lots of adventures on this camping trip. Lots of kids to play with, critters running around and lots of walking.

happy to be heading home for a shower.
